What is Illustrator?
Illustrator is a vector based design program. It can be used to create logos, graphics, cartoons, and more. This program is fairly user friendly and can be used to create many amazing things.
Creating the Key Chain:
First you had to create the design in Illustrator. I decided to use the Bucks logo.
Once the design is finished, I uploaded the illustrator file to my hard drive and brought it to the down to the laser. I then brought up the file on the UCP program.
I then positioned the laser in the corner and lined up my piece of plastic with the laser.
I then clicked print and watched as the laser printed out my key chain. Here is the final product.
Vinyl Machine:
We used the vinyl machine to create a decal of our names. Here is a picture of the initial file on Illustrator.
We then loaded the vinyl machine.
We then printed out all the names. Once they were printed we transferred our decals onto our notebooks. In order to do this we used used the dental equipment. Here is the final product.
What I learned in Illustrator:
Through this process I learned to be careful. There were many small areas where you could possibly mess up, so it was very important to pay close attention to every step. I also learned how much you can do with Illustrator. You can create logos, designs for a laser, decals, and more. I am excited to work with the program more during this class.
